Campo Grande/ Caiman Ecological Refuge

From Campo Grande, take Highway BR-262, which links Campo Grande to Corumbá.  At Miranda City´s roundabout, turn right into a paved road towards the city of Agachi.

At this point, there are signs indicating Caiman Ecological Refuge. Less than a kilometer ahead, turn left into a dirt road. From here, take the road for 36 Km, until reaching a house on the right-hand side of the road, with a board written "Estância Caiman".

You will be greeted by a porter, your name will be asked and he will take note of your car number plate. From there, follow straight ahead, until the next intersection, where you should turn left, for about 5 km, passing through Paizinho's Bridge and a beautiful forested road, you will reach the village and at the end of it, Sede Lodge of the Caiman Ecological Refuge.

Land Transfer

The Reservation Center of the Caiman Ecological Refuge offers a service of shuttle transfer in vans with air conditioned and on board water, lasting about 3h30min and a stop of 15 mins, and are charged separately of the lodging.

The shuttle transfer have fixed departures, on the following week days:

WEDNESDAYS, THURSDAYS and SUNDAYS

From Campo Grande airport to Caiman Ecological Refuge: at 12:30 pm and 5:00 pm

From Caiman Ecological Refuge to Campo Grande airport: at 6:00 am and 10:30 am

NOTE: Due to safety reasons we do not run nighttime transportation.

AERIAL TRANSFER

For those who wish to get to the farm by air, you may obtain information as to prices contacting the reservation central.

Operational capacity of the landing strip:

The Caiman Cattle Ranch landing strip is capable of harboring turbo helicopters, small jets, single and twin-engine planes (Bimotor, Monomotor, Caravan, Bandeirantes).

Important: Small jets like the Citation V, have successfully used Caiman's landing strip in the past, however it is not recommended due to small rocks that can be kicked up by the bi-keel (front tire) in the turbine, damaging pieces that can be costly to replace.
